Description
The Syvecs Toyota Yaris GR AWD module is a standalone AWD/4WD/centre differential controller designed to provide full control of the Yaris GR AWD system.
OEM controllers are locked and not adjustable. Fitting the Yaris GR AWD module provides additional control and prevents instant AWD dropouts on the circuit. The controller replicates all OEM CAN information and receives variables from the OEM CAN system, including steering angle, brake pressure, RPM, TPS, lateral G, yaw, longitudinal G, speeds, temperatures, and mode switches.
The differential mode buttons provide live switching between AWD Select 1, 2, and 3 duty maps to adjust AWD clamping. Burnout mode can also be activated through the hazard lights, Handbrake, or an external switch.
Optional: Syvecs offers a loom for external burnout switches and live-adjustment potentiometers, allowing AWD duty adjustment while driving or switching to 2WD. This option is for rally cars only and must be ordered with the unit.
- Limp protection for excessive slip, current, and temperature warns the driver while keeping AWD active, unlike OEM controllers that shut down the outputs.
- SCAL software provides access to more than 40 maps for controlling the solenoids and motors used in the AWD system.

- Suitable for vehicles with high Horsepower / HP where OEM shutdowns may be undesirable, particularly mid-corner.
Available Maps
Four base duty tables and four adders with enable maps are available for left-foot braking, front slip, rear slip, and centre slip.
Four multipliers with enable maps are available for steering angle, AWD temperature, AWD pressure, and the AWD potentiometer. Tyre diameter adjustment is available under sensors.

Question: Does the module prevent the rear from fully disengaging when the clutches reach approximately 100 degrees?
Answer: The module slowly reduces current to the AWD solenoid instead of releasing it fully like the OEM controller. The rear disengages only when 2WD mode is active or the Handbrake is pulled.
Question: Can the module provide more than 70% rear bias, and does its 30/70% rear bias feel different from the stock system?
Answer: The module can run more rear-wheel-drive bias than the OEM unit. Litchfield testing on an advanced MAHA dynamometer achieved slightly more Torque at the rear by increasing current through the solenoid. This is fully adjustable in software, and the base map applies this higher current and duty in Track mode.
Question: What are the benefits if the module does not increase rear bias beyond 70% or raise the clutch-pack temperature limit beyond approximately 100 degrees?
Answer: The fully adjustable unit allows live rear-wheel-drive bias adjustment through software, OEM buttons, or external potentiometers. Control strategies can be configured for tyre sizes, engine Torque curves, temperature limit requirements, and other vehicle specifications. Toyota uses the unit for rally builds for these reasons.
