The standard engine intake is located directly behind the headlight, shielded by the bumper without openings for cool air or optimal Airflow. This positioning supports rapid heating of the system for emission-reducing components and helps limit intake noise.

This Cold Air Intake retains the effective basic Airbox design while optimising the intake path. An opening in the positive-pressure zone in front of the Radiator draws in cooler air. Positive pressure forces air through the duct directly into the Airbox, while additional intake fins prevent a Flow bottleneck when vehicle performance is increased.

The plug-and-play intake kit was tested on the road and racetrack under extreme conditions. Its non-restrictive duct relocates the intake point from the warm Engine bay to the front of the vehicle. Intake air temperature / IAT after the Intercooler was reduced by up to 11 degrees or 25%. Under high load and maximum thermal stress, the reduction remained measurable at 5 degrees or 10%, reducing thermal load and increasing tuning headroom through a lower tendency to knock.
