Description SPEED ENGINEERING 13618 Ram Air Intake System for BMW M3 (F80) / M4 (F82)
The SPEED ENGINEERING 13618 Ram air intake system is designed for the BMW M3 F80 and BMW M4 F82. The intake system creates a passage to an area with cooler positive-pressure air, supporting the existing water-cooled intercooler setup.
The air ducts are manufactured by vacuum casting rather than 3D printing. This production process supports high component quality and helps minimise air resistance inside the intake system.
Installation requires removal of the OEM grille behind the radiator grille on the bulkhead side. The rubber lip of the OEM air duct is then fitted onto the intake system.
Roadworthiness Note: Although the part is barely visible when installed, this modification invalidates the vehicle’s roadworthiness certificate.
Registration Requirement: Individual approval by TÜV in accordance with §21 is required.
Road Use: Motorsport products are not automatically approved under the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO).
