The SPEED ENGINEERING 13456 Brake Cooling Kit is designed for the VOLKSWAGEN Golf VII GTI / R 5G and SEAT Leon III Cupra 5F. The system channels airflow from the underbody to the brake ventilation outlet to support brake cooling under load.

The air duct inlet uses a suitable underbody location available across vehicle specifications, including manual gearbox and DSG variants. This position captures airflow effectively without being the lowest point of the vehicle. The air duct is secured with three screws and connects to the anchor plate through an air hose.

The air duct outlet channels airflow toward the centre of the brake disc / brake rotor, using the turbine effect to cool the disc from the inside. Airflow is directed at a specific angle to avoid efficiency loss. The lightweight, powder-coated aluminium construction provides strength and durability, while the anchor plate helps shield the nearby wishbone ball joint from heat.

Installation Note: Hose routing must be planned carefully because steering components may cause hose chafing over time at full steering lock.

Road Use: Motorsport parts are not approved for road use.

Fitment Note: Models vary slightly in wheel position, chassis geometry, and wheel and tyre combinations. In some cases, the wheel may lightly touch at full steering lock, and the final quarter of steering travel should be avoided.
