The SPEED ENGINEERING 13346 Ram air intake system is designed for the BMW M2 Competition F87 with the S55 engine. The system creates a passage to an area with cooler positive-pressure air, supporting the intake setup under racetrack use or after a performance upgrade.

The factory intake system ends directly behind the headlight, where air is heated by engine waste heat. The Ram air intake redirects the intake path toward the area behind the kidney grille, where the selected geometry helps prevent airflow restriction.

On each side, the rubber lip is removed from the OEM intake manifold and one section of the intake system is fitted. A hole is cut into the side wall behind the kidney grille using the supplied cutting template, and the second section is then bolted to the first. The parts are manufactured using a special process to provide a smooth surface and reduce air resistance.

Installation Note: The side wall behind the kidney grille must be cut using the supplied cutting template.

Roadworthiness Note: Modification invalidates the vehicle’s roadworthiness certificate.

Registration Requirement: Individual approval in accordance with §21 by TÜV is required.

Road Use: Motorsport products are not automatically approved under the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO).
