Optimized for Aston Martin platforms, the four-plate SACHS RCS 4/140 S2.6 racing clutch features a compact 140 mm friction diameter for very low moment of inertia and short shift windows. The engine spins up more freely, load changes translate faster, and the multi-plate design distributes friction work and temperature at minimal overall height.

The 2.6 mm sintered metallic lining is sintered onto the carrier disc, prioritizing minimal rotating mass and rapid heat dissipation. The result is direct response, fast rpm matching, and consistent Pedal feel during frequent shifts. Compared with 5.2 mm sinter pads, the 2.6 mm lining provides lower thermal inertia and a more agile feel; 3.4 mm offers a compromise with additional heat buffer at slightly higher mass.

This vehicle-specific configuration transmits up to 1,910 Nm of maximum engine Torque. The forged aluminum clutch cover combines high stiffness with low weight and supports heat rejection. High-strength steel pressure and intermediate plates provide launch and endurance strength for repeatable performance in demanding GTE and GT3 use.

Less Mass

With a clutch moment of inertia of 0.061 kg·m² and a first-gear transmission reduction of 13.4:1, the moment of inertia at the drive wheel is 180 times higher. Converted into vehicle mass, this equates to approximately 145 kg of additional weight to be accelerated in first gear. The low moment of inertia considerably reduces shifting times and enables faster acceleration.
