Lightweight, stiff and durable, the SACHS RCS 200 clutch housing is the central support structure of ZF Motorsport’s modular Racing Clutch System. It is developed for high thermal and mechanical loads in racing.

The forged RCS 200 version reduces weight and moment of inertia compared with a machined housing while offering high strength, precise component guidance and robust performance in use.

Note: The clutch cover housing must be combined with approved, series-specific RCS 200 pressure plates, intermediate plates and clutch discs. Selection depends on the number of plates, Friction material and application profile.

  • Function: The clutch cover housing accommodates the pressure plate, intermediate plates and clutch discs, guides the components precisely and transmits Torque within the modular RCS system. Its high stiffness supports defined modulation, stable component positioning and reproducible shifts.
  • Design: High-strength forged aluminium with series-specific RCS 200 geometry. The forging process increases load capacity and enables a Lightweight, torsionally stiff design with reduced moment of inertia.
  • Clamp load: In combination with the pressure plate, diaphragm spring, intermediate plates and clutch discs, the housing contributes to precisely defined clamp load. This supports repeatable Torque transmission and consistent engagement behaviour in motorsport operation.
  • Coating and thermal management: The full-surface, extremely wear-resistant aluminium coating reduces friction and fit wear, protects against corrosion and improves service life. The special housing geometry supports efficient heat dissipation and stabilises the clutch pack temperature window, particularly with short shift windows, high engine speeds and repeated thermal loads.
