The RECARO Podium CF is a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) shell seat engineered for dual-purpose use on both public roads and race tracks. Developed to meet the contrasting demands of daily driving and competitive motorsport, it combines a lightweight construction with advanced ergonomic support and certified safety standards. This right-side version in Size M is trimmed in Black Alcantara and Red Leather and features an integrated side airbag (SAB), making it the first retrofit shell seat with airbag integration.

The seat holds both ABE (German general type approval) and FIA 8855-1999 homologation, making it suitable for road and competition applications when installed with approved RECARO baseframe and sidemount systems. The CFRP shell incorporates visible structural elements, integrated headrest, specially formed shoulder support, and pronounced lateral bolsters to ensure stability under high lateral loads. Replaceable pad systems are available for different driver builds, while the open-back shell design supports passive ventilation for enhanced comfort during extended use.
