The RECARO Podium CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) racing shell seat engineered for dual road and track applications. Homologated in accordance with FIA 8855-1999 and approved with German ABE certification, it is the only retrofit shell seat on the market certified for motorsport competition while remaining authorized for public road use. This left-side version is finished in Black Velour and equipped with Pad Kit L for drivers of larger build.

The lightweight CFRP shell incorporates visible structural elements, an integrated headrest, and pronounced lateral support in both the backrest and seat cushion areas. Specially formed shoulder contours ensure compatibility with head and neck safety systems such as HANS. Replaceable pads in varying thicknesses provide ergonomic adaptability while maintaining a slim motorsport-oriented profile. The open-back shell construction supports passive ventilation, contributing to comfort during extended driving sessions.
