The RECARO Podium GF is a glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) shell seat engineered for both road and track applications. Designed to meet the contrasting demands of everyday driving and motorsport use, it is approved for public road operation (ABE) and homologated in accordance with FIA 8855-1999 standards. This right-side version is equipped with an integrated side airbag (SAB), making it one of the first retrofit racing shell seats with integrated airbag functionality.

The lightweight GFRP shell features a mirror-finish black gelcoat surface and is constructed for high structural rigidity with reduced mass. Motorsport-focused ergonomics include an integrated headrest, specially formed shoulder support, and pronounced lateral bolsters in both the backrest and seat cushion areas. The open-back design enables passive ventilation, while the replaceable Pad Kit L is configured for drivers of larger build. The highly fire-resistant Black Velour upholstery ensures durability under intensive road and track conditions.
