The RECARO Podium GF is a glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) shell seat engineered for combined road and track use. Designed to meet the contrasting demands of daily driving and motorsport application, it is approved for public road use (ABE) and homologated according to FIA 8855-1999 standards. This version is configured for the right side and features an integrated side airbag (SAB), making it one of the first retrofit racing shell seats with airbag integration.

The seat shell is manufactured from lightweight GFRP composite and finished in mirror-finish black gelcoat. Motorsport-derived ergonomics include an integrated headrest, specially formed shoulder support, and pronounced lateral bolsters in both the backrest and seat cushion areas. The open-back shell design with passive ventilation and replaceable Pad Kit M (for medium build drivers) ensures functional comfort during extended road or track sessions.
