The Mishimoto racing thermostat for the 1997-2013 Nissan Patrol Y61 is designed to promote greater cooling efficiency throughout the engine. This thermostat opens at a lower temperature than standard thermostats, allowing coolant to flow through the engine sooner and helping to reduce and maintain cooler engine temperatures.
The Mishimoto racing thermostat can significantly reduce high engine coolant temperatures that may result from power-adding modifications and hot climates.
