This thermostat is designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory unit. It features a lower activation temperature of 180°F compared to the factory thermostat's 200°F. The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, helping to reduce and maintain lower engine temperatures. This thermostat is suitable for use in warmer climates or under extreme towing and driving conditions.
