The Mishimoto racing thermostat offers an easy upgrade for improved performance and dependability.

The Mishimoto Pontiac G8 Racing Thermostat is precision engineered to deliver optimal cooling efficiency for V8-powered G8 models, even in demanding conditions. By opening at a lower temperature (160°F) compared to standard thermostats (186°F), it allows coolant to circulate sooner, reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures. The thermostat is digitally calibrated, uses high-quality wax for precise and consistent operation, and includes a gasket for leak-free installation.

Note: This thermostat is intended for the late model water pump design where the thermostat and water outlet are separate components. If the vehicle has an early-model pump with an integrated thermostat and water outlet, the water pump and outlet must be updated to the new design to use this thermostat.
