Mishimoto has developed a racing thermostat engineered specifically for the 2016+ Camaro SS. The Mishimoto Camaro SS thermostat fits directly into the stock thermostat housing and promotes greater cooling efficiency throughout the engine.

This racing thermostat will significantly lower high engine temperatures produced by modified and upgraded engines. Once the engine is fully warmed up, the thermostat opens at a lower temperature than the stock unit, allowing coolant to flow sooner and helping to maintain cooler engine temperatures, which improves long-term reliability of the cooling components.

Note: The installation of this thermostat requires the use of either GM housing 12657137 or 12671393. The stock thermostat must be removed and the Mishimoto thermostat installed in its place.

Note: If the pin has moved out from the internal wax, the thermostat should be installed and run through one or two hot/cold cycles to ensure the thermostat has properly set.
