The Mishimoto street thermostat for the 1996-2004 Ford Mustang is designed to promote greater cooling efficiency for daily drivers. It helps lower high engine temperatures produced by modified and upgraded turbo applications.

Once the engine is fully warmed up, the Mishimoto street thermostat opens at a slightly lower temperature than standard thermostats, allowing coolant to flow through the engine sooner. This helps reduce and maintain cooler engine temperatures for daily use.

Note: This thermostat will not fit Ford 4.6L DOHC engines.
