Hot days at the drag strip or road course can put significant stress on the cooling system of the Mustang. An unreliable and inefficient setup may result in overheating and potential engine damage.

This racing thermostat is engineered for the 2005-2010 Ford Mustang to promote greater cooling efficiency by significantly decreasing high engine temperatures. Once the engine is fully warmed up, the low-temperature racing thermostat opens at 160 F, compared to standard thermostats at 180 F. This allows coolant to circulate sooner, reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures.
