The Mishimoto Chevrolet Duramax low temperature thermostats activate at a lower temperature than the OEM thermostats. This makes them suitable for Duramax owners in warmer climates or those who use their trucks under heavy load or strenuous driving conditions.
Activating at a lower temperature allows coolant to begin flowing through the system sooner, resulting in cooler operating temperatures.
