The Mishimoto Chevrolet Duramax high temperature thermostats activate at a higher temperature than the OEM thermostats. This makes them suitable for Duramax owners in colder climates or those who have difficulty reaching operating temperatures.
By activating at a higher temperature, these thermostats allow the coolant to remain in the engine longer, delaying flow through the radiator and enabling the engine to warm up more quickly.
