The Subaru WRX is designed for spirited driving and has significant potential with the right upgrades. The Mishimoto performance top-mount intercooler kit is engineered to enhance the capabilities of the 2022+ WRX, providing improved airflow and cooling for the FA24 engine.

This kit replaces the stock plastic charge pipe with a mandrel-bent and CNC-machined aluminum pipe, offering smoother bends and transitions for a 20 percent increase in flow over stock. The integrated turbo quick disconnect minimizes failure points, and the all-aluminum construction withstands higher boost pressures than the original plastic pipe.

The centerpiece of the kit is the upgraded top-mount intercooler and shroud. The plastic end tank intercooler is replaced with cast-aluminum end tanks and a high-flow core that is 88 percent larger than stock. This design allows over 40 percent better flow and 76 percent more fin surface area, improving heat transfer and maintaining outlet temperatures within 10 degrees of ambient. The enlarged shroud ensures the entire core is exposed to fresh air from the WRX's hood scoop.

Installation Notes: Upon removal of factory intercooler, inspect the OEM inlet gasket and replace with Subaru part number 21896AA150 if any areas appear damaged or warped.
