The Mishimoto direct-fit 2015-2021 Subaru WRX Race top-mount intercooler kit is designed to reduce high intake temperatures on stock or modified 2015-2021 Subaru WRX models. The stock intercooler is prone to heat soak during repeated wide open throttle pulls and track use. Mishimoto engineers spent months designing and testing this top-mount intercooler to ensure optimum performance for highly modified WRX vehicles.

This intercooler features durable cast aluminum end tanks TIG-welded to a dense bar-and-plate core. With a 4" thick core and a total volume of 625 cubic inches, it is one of the largest top-mount intercoolers available. The dense offset fin pitch optimizes heat transfer and supports vehicles from stock up to 500 whp. Rigorous testing showed a 35°F temperature drop and a 15 whp and 8 wtq bolt-on power increase for a test vehicle equipped with a Mishimoto downpipe and stage 2 EcuTek tune.

Installation is straightforward, requiring no modification to engine bay parts and can be completed in under 1 hour. The kit includes an innovative one-piece charge-pipe, an application-specific air splitter, and all necessary hoses and hardware for installation. The intercooler is available in a durable powder-coated finish of Silver and Black, with pipe options in polished, wrinkle black, or wrinkle red.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Note: This kit is rated for 300-450 whp with maximum limits of approximately 500 whp, or 35 PSI of turbo boost. Exceeding that horsepower or pressure limit may require a larger front-mount intercooler.

Note: Tuning is not necessary after installing the top-mount intercooler and charge-pipe, but optimal performance is achieved if tuning is performed after installation.

Note: The top-mount intercooler will not fit with the stock engine cover due to its larger size.
