The Subaru Ascent, Outback XT, and Legacy XT offer comfort and space with the performance of a rally-inspired engine. Each model has its own character, from the family-focused Ascent to the off-road-ready Outback and the comfortable Legacy. All share the powerful 2.4L turbocharged FA24 engine, which is well-suited for upgrades.

The Mishimoto performance top-mount intercooler is designed to enhance the 2019+ Ascent and 2020+ Legacy XT/Outback XT. This intercooler replaces the stock plastic end tank unit with cast-aluminum end tanks and a high-flow core that is 88 percent larger than stock. The increased core volume provides over 40 percent better flow, reducing turbo strain and improving cold air delivery. An additional 76 percent fin surface area improves heat transfer, keeping outlet temperatures within 10 degrees of ambient. A pre-drilled, tapped, and plugged 1/8-NPT port is included for easy sensor installation. The kit comes with all necessary components for installation and features a black powder-coat finish.

Installation Notes: Upon removal of factory intercooler, inspect the OEM inlet gasket and replace with Subaru part number 21896AA150 if any areas appear damaged or warped.
