Heat is a major threat to transmission longevity. For 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 5.9L / 6.7L Cummins trucks, maintaining optimal transmission temperature is essential, whether the vehicle is used for towing, fleet work, or daily driving. Mishimoto offers a direct-fit transmission cooler designed to address this need.

This transmission cooler features a stacked plate core, providing durable and efficient cooling. It offers a 212-percent increase in core volume and a 244-percent increase in fluid capacity compared to the stock cooler. The unit is larger and more reliable than the factory cooler, with a fully serviceable thermostat that can be easily bypassed for constant cooling.

A port at the top of the cooler allows quick thermostat servicing. Replacement thermostats are available separately, eliminating the need to replace the entire cooler if the thermostat fails. For cold climates, the thermostat enables fast warm-up, while in hot climates, it can be bypassed with the included stainless-steel plug. CNC-machined stainless steel hose barb fittings and supplied transmission cooler hose simplify installation by allowing removal of the quick-disconnect fittings and direct connection to the stock soft-line.

Note: This kit requires cutting of the stock transmission cooler lines to remove the quick-disconnect fittings. Mishimoto provides CNC-machined stainless steel hose barb fittings to splice the supplied transmission cooler line with the stock soft lines. Please see installation instructions for more details.
