The Mazda RX8 features a high-revving rotary engine that can easily reach 9,000 RPM during daily driving. These high engine speeds result in elevated oil temperatures. Most RX8 models equipped with manual transmissions were fitted with dual oil coolers from the factory to maintain safe oil temperatures during high-speed driving and track use.

Over time, the original rubber oil lines and steel fittings can corrode and degrade. The most common line to corrode is located on the left side of the car near the front suspension assembly, where its position tends to collect dirt and road salt. The Mishimoto replacement oil line addresses this issue by replacing the problematic line with a fully braided stainless steel oil line and aluminum M18 to -10AN banjo fittings that resist corrosion and breakdown. Installation requires no additional modifications, cutting, or permanent removal of parts.

Note: This oil line kit is designed to work with the stock oil coolers located in the front bumper. Supplied M18 banjo bolts and M18 straight fittings are designed to attach to the stock oil cooler.

Recommendation: Check oil levels after installation and add oil if needed.

Recommendation: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts is 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.
