Add reliability and engine bay styling with the Mishimoto BMW E36 Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank. Stock coolant expansion tanks can fail after years of temperature fluctuations. The Mishimoto tank is constructed from TIG-welded aluminum for durability and longevity.

This tank features a CNC-machined dipstick that also functions as a bleeder and allows for accurate cold coolant level checks. The polished finish enhances the appearance of the engine bay. The expansion tank is a direct fit for both the stock and Mishimoto BMW E36 Performance Fan Shroud Kit.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Recommendation: After a few hot and cold cycles, Mishimoto recommends checking the dipstick to confirm a proper cold coolant level. The dipstick must not be removed when the engine coolant is hot. Wait until the coolant is cold before removing.

Warning: This will not fit models with 4-cylinder engines.
