The Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate is a lightweight, high-flow sandwich plate constructed from 6061 aluminum. It is designed to add an external cooler to a vehicle's oil system. The built-in thermostat prevents oil flow to the cooler until the engine oil reaches the activating temperature, allowing for faster warmup at startup and added oil system protection in cold climates.

The included 185°F (85°C) thermostat can be replaced with a 160°F (71°C) or 200°F (93°C) unit, providing control over the desired engine oil operating temperature. This oil sandwich plate is designed specifically for M22 stainless steel center bolts and includes a 1/8" NPT plugged port on the side for an optional sensor or gauge.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends that all connections be checked at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
