High oil temperatures can cause serious issues for the FA20 DIT engine. The Mishimoto direct-fit oil cooler kit is designed specifically for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX to help maintain optimal oil temperature. The stock liquid-to-liquid oil cooler is not sufficient for prolonged aggressive driving conditions, especially on modified or tracked vehicles.

This kit works in conjunction with the stock cooler and features a large 19-row cooler mounted in the front bumper using application-specific brackets. The CNC-machined aluminum sandwich plate allows proper clearance for the stock oil filter. Preassembled stainless steel lines with -10AN fittings direct oil to and from the cooler, helping to achieve a significant drop in oil temperatures with minimal pressure loss.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends that all connections are checked at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.

Note: This oil cooler kit will not fit with the Mishimoto 2015+ WRX front-mount intercooler kit.
