Proper oil temperature regulation is essential for the longevity of high-performance Jeep JK engines, especially in demanding environments. Excessive oil temperatures can lead to rapid oil degradation and potential engine damage. The Mishimoto Jeep JK direct-fit oil cooler kit is designed to control oil temperatures, utilizing JK-specific mounting brackets, pre-made stainless steel lines, an oil filter sandwich plate, and all necessary hardware for quick installation.

This kit increases oil capacity by 0.75 qt and can reduce oil temperatures by up to 40°F while maintaining minimal pressure drop. It is compatible with the Mishimoto Jeep JK Transmission Cooler Kit and the Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Jeep Wrangler Radiator for comprehensive cooling. The kit is available with a standard oil sandwich plate or a rear-mounted thermostat version for enhanced temperature control.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to ensure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.

Note: This kit comes with MMOP-SPTR, the sandwich plate with rear-mounted thermostat. MMOP-SPT is not recommended due to suspension clearance issues.
