For the first time in over 30 years, the Ford Mustang is available with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing over 300 horsepower. Turbocharged 4-cylinder engines can overheat their oil quickly during track sessions or aggressive street driving. Unlike the 5.0 liter V8, the 2.3 liter EcoBoost Mustang does not come with a factory oil cooler.

Aggressive tunes and track use can significantly overheat the oil and wear down the engine. Mishimoto offers an oil cooling solution for the Mustang EcoBoost. The kit features a large 19-row oil cooler mounted at the front of the vehicle for optimal airflow. Application-specific braided stainless steel lines with -10AN fittings transfer oil between the cooler and the engine for easy installation. Mishimoto engineers observed consistent oil temperature decreases of over 40 degrees Fahrenheit using the non-thermostatic sandwich plate, demonstrating the kit's capability for extreme applications.

This 2015-2017 Mustang EcoBoost oil cooler kit is available with either a Sleek Silver or Stealth Black cooler and a choice of Mishimoto Oil Sandwich Plate or Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate. The kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.

Recommendation: To provide maximum airflow to the front of the vehicle and the EcoBoost oil cooler, Mishimoto suggests disconnecting the connector for the front shutter doors.
