The Lancer Evolution is well-suited for spirited driving on back roads, tackling straightaways at the track, or daily commuting. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine requires an effective and reliable cooling system for optimal performance. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7/8/9 Oil Cooler Kit is designed to reduce oil temperatures in both street and track applications.

This kit features a large 25-row cooler mounted in the front bumper for maximum airflow and cooling efficiency. It includes direct-fit, application-specific brackets and preassembled stainless steel oil lines with -10AN fittings, providing a bolt-on installation that fully replaces the stock oil-cooling unit. The Mishimoto 25-row, stacked-plate oil cooler can decrease oil temperatures by up to 30 degrees and reduce oil degradation, ensuring proper lubrication of engine and turbocharger components under demanding conditions.

Note: Mishimoto fully inspects and cleans all products prior to packaging. However, it is recommended to flush the oil cooler with one quart of clean oil before installation to remove any debris accumulated during shipping.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to ensure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
