For the first time in over 30 years, the Ford Mustang is available with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing over 300 horsepower. Turbocharged 4-cylinder engines generate extremely hot charge air temperatures quickly during track use or aggressive street driving, and stock tube-and-fin intercoolers are prone to heat soak.

Mishimoto has developed a highly efficient bar-and-plate intercooler engineered specifically for the Mustang EcoBoost to maintain consistently low air intake temperatures. This kit includes both hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipes, allowing a complete upgrade of the EcoBoost intercooler system. The intercooler is a direct-fit unit with a 58% increase in core size and requires no modification to the EcoBoost Mustang.

The intercooler is designed to fit with the stock active grille shutters and prevents airflow blockage to the radiator and AC condenser by mounting in the stock location. Constructed with cast end tanks that are CFD tested for maximum airflow, it includes an in-tank air diverter on the hot side for optimal flow. The Mustang EcoBoost Performance Intercooler reduces intake temperatures by 35°F (19.45°C) with minimal pressure loss, features a 25% increase in internal core volume, and a 165% increase in external fin surface area. Precision TIG-welding and finish options of Sleek Silver or Stealth Black are available.

The kit features 2.5" hot-side and 2.75" cold-side mandrel-bent aluminum piping for smooth airflow, four-layer silicone couplers with heat-resistant embedded fibers, and high-quality stainless steel T-bolt clamps for reliable holding power. The precision CNC-machined BPV flange allows retention of the stock BPV. The Mishimoto Mustang EcoBoost Performance Intercooler Kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
