For the first time in over 30 years, the Ford Mustang is available with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing over 300 horsepower in the 2.3L Mustang EcoBoost. Turbocharged 4-cylinder engines generate extremely hot charge air temperatures quickly, and the stock tube-and-fin EcoBoost intercooler can experience heat soak after a short period.

To address these high temperatures, Mishimoto offers a highly efficient bar-and-plate intercooler for the EcoBoost Mustang. This intercooler is a direct-fit unit that requires no modification to the 2015-2023 Mustang. It is designed to fit with the stock active grille shutters and prevents airflow blockage to the radiator and AC condenser by mounting in the stock location.

The intercooler features cast end tanks that are CFD-tested for maximum airflow and includes an in-tank air diverter on the hot side for optimal flow through the core. It reduces intake temperatures by 35°F (19.45°C) with minimal pressure loss, offers a 25% increase in core volume, and a 165% increase in external fin surface area. The unit is TIG-welded and available in Sleek Silver or Stealth Black finishes. It is compatible with the Mishimoto 2015-2023 EcoBoost intercooler pipe kit and includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
