The 2011-2016 Ford Super Duty equipped with the 6.7L Powerstroke is recognized for its capability and reliability. Mishimoto addressed reports of 6.7L Powerstroke air-to-water intercoolers leaking internally by developing an upgraded intercooler for enhanced reliability.

The Mishimoto 6.7L Powerstroke intercooler replaces the stamped and stacked plate stock design with cast aluminum end tanks that are precision TIG-welded to a robust bar-and-plate core. The cast end tanks reduce potential failure points, offering improved reliability over cut and welded tanks.

Flow bench testing demonstrated that the Mishimoto intercooler flows 22% better than the stock cooler. Dyno testing showed an increase of 40 lb-ft of torque on a stock 6.7L Powerstroke. The cooler is available in powder-coated sleek silver, micro-wrinkle black, or micro-wrinkle blue finishes.
