Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines are known to have residual solid particles from the casting process, which can clog the factory oil cooler, EGR cooler, and other critical engine components. Mishimoto offers a direct-fit coolant filter kit for the 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke to help prevent cooler clogs and failures.

The application-specific mounting bracket positions a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum filter mount and Wix coolant filter on the passenger-side radiator support for easy filter removal. The filtration system is routed parallel to the coolant flow path, allowing a portion of coolant to be filtered with each pass. Two brass ball valves are included to simplify filter changes, and the one-piece silicone coolant hoses are available in black, blue, or red to reduce leak potential and complement any engine bay.

This coolant filter kit installs in under 45 minutes and is designed to help protect the oil cooler, water pump, EGR cooler, coolant, and other engine components from harmful particles. The kit is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs recommended for all worm gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs.

Recommendation: Mishimoto recommends changing the coolant filter after the first month, again after 3 months, and then every year after that, depending on driving conditions. Because each engine was cast differently, there will be a different amount of debris in each engine.
