The 5.7L Hemi V8 engine in the 2019-2024 Dodge Ram 1500 is known for its performance, but it is also prone to significant blow-by. This blow-by contains oil, fuel, and water vapors that can coat intake components and degrade fuel quality. Over time, these effects may lead to misfires and sensor damage.

This direct-fit baffled oil catch can kit is designed to redirect blow-by away from the intake and into the catch can, where oil, fuel, and water vapors are filtered out. Air turbulators inside the can disrupt and slow crankcase gases, while a perforated baffle condenses vapors and prevents liquid from exiting. A 50-micron sintered bronze filter removes remaining particles before clean air returns to the intake.

Installation requires no cutting or drilling and fits with stock engine bay components. The can attaches to a direct-fit bracket, bolts to the truck, and uses direct-fit lines to connect to the stock PCV system. Installation typically takes less than an hour.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Recommendation: After installation, check the contents of the baffled catch can every 500 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. Ensure the contents do not rise above the internal baffle.
