Infiniti has established a strong presence in the luxury sedan segment, competing with brands such as BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. The introduction of the VR30DDTT engine transformed the 2016-2024 Q50 and Q60 models, enhancing their performance significantly. However, even advanced internal combustion engines can experience issues with blow-by and carbon buildup.

The 3.0T engine in these Infiniti models is particularly susceptible to blow-by and carbon accumulation due to its high compression ratio, twin turbochargers, and direct injection system. Oil and fuel particles can accumulate in the intake manifold and valves, reducing performance. The 2-port compact catch can design is installed in line with the VR30DDTT's PCV system to capture oil and fuel particles before they reach the intake components. The mounting bracket positions the catch can for easy access and features a slotted mounting screw for convenient servicing. Each 2016-2024 Q50/Q60 catch can kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Note: This kit will not fit with some aftermarket strut tower bars.

Recommendation: After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch cans every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.
