Turbocharging and direct injection are becoming the standard for building powerful and efficient trucks. However, without careful maintenance, these technologies can lead to issues for the 2015–2016 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost. Direct injection makes the 3.5L EcoBoost one of the most efficient engines fitted to the F-150, but it also allows blow-by to accumulate as carbon deposits on the intake valves.

Over time, these carbon deposits can restrict engine performance. The Mishimoto 2015–2016 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost Catch Can Kit is designed to protect the intake tract and valves from blow-by and carbon buildup. The dual-can setup routes blow-by away from the intake and valves in all driving conditions, while the 12 fl. oz. baffled catch can allows for extended service intervals.

The powder-coated, 3mm-thick steel bracket provides durability for any terrain, and pre-installed quick-disconnect fittings simplify installation. This catch can kit is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18–27 in-lbs (2–3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Recommendation: After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch cans every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.
