High-output engines require high-flow crankcase ventilation. Increased air and fuel entering the cylinders results in more blow-by passing the piston rings and circulating through the intake system. This higher volume needs sufficient space to flow, and any catch can used must also provide adequate flow.

The Mishimoto high-flow catch can features a high-capacity bottom capable of holding 5.3 fl. oz. The CNC-machined lid includes large M27 x 2.0 inlets and outlets to allow proper crankcase breathing. Inside, a newly engineered CNC-machined baffle with integrated filter permits crankcase gases to flow while filtering out potentially harmful fuel, oil, and water vapors. Both the catch can and filter are fully serviceable for easy draining and cleaning. The included 3/8" NPT plug at the bottom allows draining without removing the can or can be used with an available drain kit for easier servicing.

This kit is a direct fit for the 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke, with a custom-engineered bracket that mounts to the driver's side frame rail behind the wheel well. The 3mm thick steel bracket is gusseted and powder-coated black for strength and resistance to the elements. Direct-fit nitrile hoses are included to route blow-by from the engine to the catch can. All Mishimoto catch can kits include a Lifetime Warranty with Accident Protection.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Recommendation: After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch can every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.
