The Ford modular V8 engine is a hallmark of American automotive engineering. The Coyote 5.0L, the latest generation, carries this reputation into the modern era. However, even the 2011-2014 F-150 with the 5.0L Coyote V8 can experience blow-by issues.

Blow-by allows oil, fuel, and water vapors to condense and coat the intake tract, which can reduce engine performance. The Mishimoto 2011-2014 Ford F-150 5.0L V8 Catch Can Kit is designed to address this problem by diverting harmful blow-by away from the intake tract. This direct-fit kit features an application-specific bracket and molded hoses with pre-installed quick-disconnect fittings for straightforward installation, requiring no modifications to the truck’s body. The catch can includes a baffle and air diverter to condense oil, fuel, and water vapor before they reach the intake and combustion chamber.

Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).

Recommendation: After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch cans every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.

Note: This kit cannot be used in conjunction with MMBCC-FRD-11P.
