Protect the VQ37 engine in the Nissan 370Z with the Mishimoto 2009+ Nissan 370Z Baffled Oil Catch Can kit. This dual-can system addresses blow-by, a common issue in modern engines. Oil droplets can enter the intake tract and cause carbon buildup on the valves, reducing engine performance. The 370Z Baffled Oil Catch Can Kit intercepts contaminated crankcase gases and prevents them from entering the intake.

The kit includes two 6061 aluminum compact catch cans that install in line with the VQ37VHR’s dual PCV system using an application-specific mounting bracket. Each catch can features an engineered baffle to condense oil droplets and fuel vapors, as well as internal air diverters for consistent PCV flow. A 50-micron bronze filter in each can traps oil droplets before they reach the return line. The kit also includes pre-molded flat-black hoses and is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Mishimoto catch cans differ from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems. They are not heated, allowing all blow-by, including low-octane oil and contaminated fuel vapors, to condense in the can. Unlike AOS systems that drain back into the oil pan, these catch cans permanently trap blow-by and keep it out of the engine.

Recommendation: After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch can every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.
