With the introduction of the KW V5 coilover suspension, KW applies its motorsport suspension technology featuring KW Solid Piston Technology and a modular design with damper valves connected in series. The KW V5 delivers precise and rapid damping response in sports cars and super sports cars. The shock absorbers and valves react directly, even with minimal spring travel, slight steering inputs, and small road surface changes.

Every driving maneuver and input, such as braking, acceleration, steering, load changes, and road undulations, is damped with greater precision. KW Solid Piston dampers provide increased platform support to the chassis compared to conventional dampers, allowing for lower spring rates depending on the vehicle body. Unlike traditional shocks with valves in the inner tube, KW coilovers and dampers with Solid Piston technology use a valve arrangement separate from the damper inner tube and piston rod. The KW V5 coilover suspension features low- and high-speed valve units arranged in series with different valve spring types and main valves, enabling individual adjustment of compression and rebound damping with 14 precise clicks each in both low- and high-speed ranges.
