Using the Nordschleife as it's testing grounds and the 7-post rig, KW developed it's KW V5 Clubsport coilover kit. Wheel loads, vehicle weight and chassis reinforcements (increased body stiffness) can all be taken into consideration with adjustment capabilities of the KW V5 Clubsport. Similar to KW V5 Racing coilovers, low-speed and high-speed compression and rebound adjustment is done via KW's solid piston technology.

In contrast to traditional shocks with valves in the inner tube, KW coilovers and KW dampers with Solid Piston use a valve arrangement that is separate from the damper inner tube and piston rod. The low- and high-speed valve units in the KW Variant 5 coilover suspension, which are built-in series with different valve spring types and main valves, offer the freedom to individually adjust the compression and rebound damping with 14 exact clicks (14 characteristic curves) each in the low- and highspeed range.
