The K&N 69-8605TS Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Toyota Scion XB models. The factory air filter and intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake, which is engineered to draw in cooler air and reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air path.

This system allows the engine to take in a larger volume of denser air compared to the factory intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the RPM range. The 69-8605TS features a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter mounted near the driver side wheel well, directing cooler outside air through an aluminum intake tube to the throttle body for a guaranteed power gain.

The oversized cone-shaped air filter includes a black water repellent DryCharger filter wrap for moisture protection. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively straightforward and typically takes 90 minutes or less.
