The K&N 69-7070TP Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Nissan 300Z 3.5 Liter V6 models. The factory air filter and intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake, which is engineered to draw in cooler air and reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air path.

This system allows the engine to take in a greater volume of denser air compared to the factory setup, resulting in increased power and improved acceleration across the RPM range. The 69-7070TP intake features a roto-molded plastic scoop mounted behind the 350Z's front fascia, directing outside air through aluminum tubing into a K&N carbon fiber topped air box. Inside the air box is a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter connected to a mandrel-bent, 3" aluminum induction tube, delivering high volumes of clean, cold air to the throttle body.

The intake tubes have a silver powder-coat finish for durability. The system accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on driving conditions. Installation requires a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set, and several wrenches.
