The K&N 69-3539TB Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Ford Focus models. The restrictive factory air filter and intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake, which is engineered to reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air flow.

This system allows the engine to draw in a larger volume of air compared to the factory intake, resulting in increased usable power and acceleration across the RPM range. The 69-3539TB includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts using factory locations. A molded scoop directs outside air toward the filter, and air is then routed through the intake tube into the throttle body for a guaranteed power gain.

The intake tube features a blue powder-coat finish and accommodates the factory air pressure sensor. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less with common tools and existing factory mounting points.
