The K&N 69-2020TR Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Mini Cooper and Mini One models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake, which is engineered to reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow.

This system allows the engine to draw in a larger volume of air compared to the factory intake, resulting in increased usable power and acceleration across the RPM range. The 69-2020TR includes a K&N high-flow air filter that fits into the original air box location, directing air through the intake tube into the throttle body for a guaranteed power gain.

The intake tube features a durable red powder-coat finish and accommodates a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points and standard tools.
