The K&N 69-0021TB Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Acura TL models. The factory air filter and intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake, which is engineered to draw in cooler air and reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air path.

This system allows the engine to take in a larger volume of denser air compared to the factory setup, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the RPM range. Air is routed through the cold air tube and into a short ram intake tube that leads to the throttle body, providing a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone-shaped air filter includes a water repellent DryCharger filter wrap for moisture protection and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions.

Installation is straightforward and typically takes 90 minutes or less using basic hand tools such as a screwdriver, ratchet set, and pliers.
