The K&N 57-9006 FIPK air intake system replaces the vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to reduce intake restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows the engine to draw in a larger volume of air compared to the factory air filter assembly.

The 57-9006 air intake includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter that fits into the original air box location. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube is designed to accommodate the factory mass air sensor and an engine vent line. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward and typically takes 60 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and basic hand tools.
