The K&N 57-1570 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter, air intake housing, and intercooler pipe on select Jeep Grand Cherokee Turbo Diesel models. K&N air intake systems are engineered to reduce air intake restriction and smooth air flow, allowing the engine to draw in more air than the factory assembly and turbo intercooler pipe.

This increased airflow results in more usable power and improved acceleration across the engine's RPM range. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the turbo inlet for a guaranteed power gain. The 57-1570 system includes a K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that fits into the original air box space, and the intake tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor.

The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less using the vehicle's existing factory mounting points. Required tools include a flat blade screwdriver, a ratchet set, a 4mm allen, and several wrenches.
