K&N's DryCharger material is constructed from durable polyester that has been pre-treated with a proprietary hydrophobic process. This material can be used to create a filter wrap for sizes not currently available. It is designed to prevent splashes of water or mud from saturating the K&N air filter.

The DryCharger material also stops small dirt particles while adding minimal restriction to airflow. It is water repellent, not waterproof. Depending on conditions and usage, the water repellent treatment typically lasts 1 to 2 years.
